2. AI Tools and Generated Content

The GCRN uses AI-powered tools to assist with:

• Graphic design and marketing materials,

• Podcast planning and production,

• AI-composed music for podcasts and events,

• Automated editing, copywriting, and analytics.

Platforms we currently use include:

• Canva – licensed subscription for design assets,

• ChatGPT – for writing, research, and ideation,

• Microsoft Copilot – productivity and content enhancement,

• Google Gemini – generative content and ideation,

• Suno – AI-generated podcast music and sound effects.

We maintain active paid subscriptions and licenses for these tools where applicable.

AI Content Disclosure:

• AI-generated content may be used alongside human-created content in our podcasts, music, graphics, and other deliverables.

• AI-generated assets are reviewed by human team members before publication.

• Where required by law or platform rules, The GCRN will clearly disclose AI-generated material.

3. Image Use & Copyright

The GCRN respects intellectual property rights and strives to only use:

• Original content created by The GCRN,

• Licensed artwork from Canva and other design platforms,

• Images from reputable free-use sources:

  • Stocksnap

  • FreePhotos

  • FreeRangeStock

  • FreeImages

If you believe we have used an image or other creative work without authorization:

1. Submit a copyright claim using our [DMCA Report Form] or email dmca@geekcastradio.com.

2. We will promptly investigate and, if appropriate, remove the material.

3. We will also notify the provider that supplied the asset.

Our intent is never to knowingly infringe on copyrighted material.

4. The GCRN as an Online Service Provider

The GCRN operates under the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act (OCILLA), part of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

This safe harbor protection shields us from liability for infringing content posted by third parties, provided we:

• Promptly remove or block access to infringing material upon receiving a proper DMCA notice,

• Provide a counter-notification process,

• Maintain a designated DMCA agent.

5. Intellectual Property

All content created by The GCRN—including podcasts, branding, site design, and original artwork—is protected by copyright and trademark law.
This includes:

• Podcast episodes,

• Music and audio assets (including AI-generated music reviewed by The GCRN),

• Marketing and promotional materials,

• Website design and code,

• Logos, branding, and event materials like the Top 100 Animated Series Countdown.

You may not:

• Copy, save, or distribute our work without permission,

• Scrape or screenshot content for commercial purposes,

• Claim ownership of AI-generated or human-created works used by The GCRN.

Violations may result in legal action, including a claim for liquidated damages of up to $5,000 per violation.

6. Bots, Scrapers, and Unauthorized Access

Automated bots, crawlers, and scrapers are strictly prohibited from accessing our websites or content without express written authorization.

This includes automated monitoring or data collection tools used by:

• Getty Images,

• PicScout,

• PicRights.com,

• AFP (Agence France-Presse),

• Cyveillance Intelligence Center,

• Or similar companies.

7. Payment Demands Prior to DMCA Notice

The GCRN will not respond to payment demand letters or threats before a proper DMCA notice has been filed.

If you believe we are using material improperly:

• Submit a formal DMCA takedown notice,

• We will respond in compliance with U.S. copyright law.

Improper demands or attempts to collect payment outside the DMCA process will be treated as bad faith actions, and we reserve the right to pursue legal remedies, including counterclaims.
