SATURDAY MORNINGS USED TO HAVE CARTOONS! 

Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! It’s Day 7 of 2023!!! New Year brings new hopes and dreams to all of us I think. In case you haven’t read any of my blogs before, you can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike! Normally my goal with this series is to wake up each new day, and find something on the internet, or in real life to write about. Today is all about MY PERSONAL ULTIMATE 1980s SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON LINEUP! Cartoons I would wanna watch every Saturday Morning at 8:00AM ET!!! Back in 2021 Dan Clark posed this on twitter, you can see that tweet and my answer to him here:

First things first cartoons started at 6am Eastern for me as a kid. So for me i gotta start w/ @The7DWikia @PnF_Wiki then all variety of #DCAU Toons @xmentas @spidermanTAS @transformers @MastersOfficial @Voltron @ThunderCatsOrg @LooneyTunes @TheAnimaniacs and tiny toons 2 close

I was born in 1980, which gave me the ultimate opportunity to really grow up with cartoons. Saturday Morning was King in the 80s! And If I were choosing cartoons back then, this is what my lineup would look like:

8:00 AM ET: Looney Tunes (variety of Bugs, Daffy, and the lot)

8:30 AM ET: Thundercats

9:00 AM ET: Muppet Babies

9:30 AM ET: He-Man

10:00 AM ET: Tom & Jerry (the Chuck Jones Era)

10:30 AM ET: M.A.S.K. 

11:00 AM ET: Jem and the Holograms

11:30 AM ET: Transformers

12:00 PM ET: The NEWS! Yak! (As A kid we never wanted the Saturday Morning Cartoons to end!)

My thought process here was a mixture of action cartoons and funny cartoons.

And if I were choosing a Saturday Morning Lineup today as an adult!

8:00 AM ET: The 7D

8:30 AM ET: Phineas & Ferb

9:00 AM ET: S.W.A.T. Kats 

9:30 AM ET: DCAU Series (Can Be any of these: BTAS, STAS, BatBeyond, JL-JLU)

10:00 AM ET: Marvel Action Half Hour! (Can Be any of these: X-Men 92 Spidey 94 Iron Man 94 SHS, What If…)

10:30 AM ET: Disney Afternoon in the Morning! (Can Be any of these: Darkwing Duck, Ducktales (90s only), Talespin, Gummi Bears, Goof Troop, Kim Possible)

11:00 AM ET: Voltron (Lion Force)

11:30 AM ET: Transformers (Can Be any of these: G1, BW-BM, TFA, TFP, Cyberverse, WFC, Etc) 

12:00 PM ET: The NEWS! Yak! (As A kid we never wanted the Saturday Morning Cartoons to end!)

^^ Now this line up is more of a multiverse of every cartoon I’ve watched in my lifetime, and how do I get the last 42 years of my life in one lineup…? Variety Baby!!! No hinderance of only needing one show…. life is like box of cartoons you never know what yer gonna get!
