Before and after June 1, 2009…. Steve Megatron, myself, OptimusSolo, Comic Concierge, and the rest of the people that have helped shape The GeekCast Radio Network most likely would have never believed it! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!

We have already recorded The 4,000th episode, and you can listen to that right HERE! Initially this post was going to be a call to action for you the listeners to write in, or send in your mp3 files telling us your own history of listening to us here at The GeekCast Radio Network. However, because I’ve been under the weather these last few weeks… I ran outta time to get the call to action ready!

And…. Here…. We…. Go!!

First things first…. the beginnings BEFORE June 1, 2009!

Steve started with All Things Transformers Episode 01! on August 9, 2008! This was a 7 min 33 second or so test run I guess! After that Master Galvatron had his debut in Episode 02! (Whatever happened to HIM?) Maybe it’s best we not answer that question….

By Episode 08 where Steve was by himself… I felt I had to step in, you can hear that HERE! So in Episode 09 I make my ATTF debut! It’s funny listening back to ATTF Ep 09, because I say in that, that I’ve never read many if any of the Transformers comics, and now 16 years later I’ve read and podcasted about a lot of the Transformers Comics!

Secondly… December 12th 2008 was my debut. The TFG1 Podcast Episode 001! You can hear that HERE!

Thirdly… I’m gonna list regular ongoing series that we do here in alphabetical order! I’m only listing the ongoing podcasts that have continuously released episodes over the last 16 years.

CINEMA GEEKS! You can listen to OptimusSolo and Comic Concierge right HERE! Kevin, Dan, Amanda, Matt, and others that have been on Cinema Geeks have made it such a staple of the GCRN!!! They do things on their show, that can’t be found anywhere else on our network. It’s a very funny, informative, and great listening experience!

I just looked at our SHOWS category, where our archive is, and in the four pages, there are FORTY PODCASTS!!! Including the ones we syndicated like MarkWho42’s Universe! 40….. ONLY 40 PODCASTS separate shows covering a WIDE range of Geek, Nerd, and Pop Culture topics. Some that are in depth review shows like The Beast Unleashed Podcast, or ShowTime Synergy! <— Those podcasts are review series of Beast Wars and Beast Machines and Jem respectively! Others that are general geek type stuff with us giving you our altered opinions on the geeky news with ALTERED GEEK, the flagship show GEEKCAST RADIO, where anything geeky can happen!!! GCRN Retro will RETURN!! Back in 2012 and 2014, we started with 1987, 2002, and 1984. When the show returns in GeekCast Radio Episode 350… it’s gonna be the YEAR ####!!!!! Well you’ll have to just wait and listen in to find out!!!

I’m not gonna write about every single one of the over 4,000 episodes, but a lot of our podcasts have reached many milestones. 100, 200, 300th episodes… very amazing accomplishments! We strive to bring you the most entertaining content we can, at the same time we also want to entertain ourselves!

And for me well within the 4,000 episodes there was that 500th episode of The Pull Bag! Which was a DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! Talking with the person that I first listened to their podcast, after all these years…. it was awesome.  Also going forward from EP 505 to current we have done 53 TPB Origins episodes in 12 Years!!! There’s so much more TPB will do in the future!!

Between ToonCast, Altered Trek, MWIRE, Studio 2009, and all of our other podcasts The GCRN is your go to source for geek podcasting! IF we don’t cover it, I’m sure there’s someone else out there on the internet who does. Because we cover the stuff that interests us, and we are only gonna bring you the stuff that we love talking about. Yes we can and will look at things critically, but generally we wanna talk about stuff that excites us, not genres or things that don’t excite us, or that we are not interested in! After all not everyone can like everything, and not everyone should like everything… If that were the case we’d all be robots!!!

However I THINK we here at THE GEEKCAST RADIO NETWORK stand out, we do evergreen content, but we also focus on nostalgia. At least that’s where MY focus is. I can check out a few new things each year and stuff, but most of the new stuff we have discussed on various podcasts in the last few years… I doubt I’ve ever gone back to watching it, after talking about it on the podcast. So YES I am a NOSTALGAIST! That’s what makes me a unique geek I think.

There ya have it folks, over 4k episodes right here only on The GeekCast Radio Network, and we have no intentions of stopping. The things are just gonna get bigger, better, and even more geekier! We’ve got NEW things coming, we’ve got old things returning in NEW ways, and so much more! So now go forth and UNLEASH THE GEEK IN YOU!!!
