Randomness Runs Rampant! Or Tangentially Yours!

Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. In my 71st entry, I’ll be talking about The Art Of Being Random!

Well today’s a bit weird, as I’m writing this in the present, but it’ll be published in the past, and now we are onto the future! Have I lost you yet? Good! Because I’m soooo lost too! As podcasters we tend to go on WILD TANGENTS at times, and sometimes they can be great, and other times they can distract the audience from the topic at hand. Tangents aren’t bad, and I have been able to swing around back to the topic at hand through the strangest of ways during a tangent. I’ve been podcasting for 15 years as of this coming December 12, 2023! And in all that time there have been many a tangents. After all I’ve recorded and released OVER 3,000 Podcasts in that time!

Tangents are bound to happen, and they are a product of the moment that they happen in. Last year I was recording something (I don’t remember what it was), but we got onto a long ass tangent, and after the recording was done…. I thought about, what if we had a podcast that was just ONE TANGENT AFTER ANOTHER, and it would be called TANGENTIALLY YOURS! Well through some googling and other podcast name research, I think there’s already a show or an episode of a show called that. I was really excited about this idea, and then because the title couldn’t happen… I just kinda let it go. However I’ve been thinking about it again and again recently. Folks when yer tryin’ to name a podcast, ya really haveta do your research! Check out GCR 297 The Podcasting Name Game with Steve Megatron and myself to hear us talk about all of that stuff!

Let me know in the comments below what you think of a podcast that was just randomly rampant with tangents! The show (or segment of a pre existing podcast would have a standard intro and outro) that we would open and close with special key words. Damn my ideas are crazy aren’t they? Or maybe it’s not so crazy!
