3 Years Since Brain Surgery

Well It. Has. Been. Awhile. Hasn’t t? 3 Years ago today, I went under for Brain Surgery. You Can read all about the beginnings of my journey on DAY 121 and DAY 208 of 2019. It is now 2022, 2020 too, twenty twenty 2…. ok I’ll stop. Anyways it’s May of 2022, and so much has happened.

So what has happened since May of 2019? As I said A LOT. After the Brain Surgery, Karen and I had a whirlwind 2019, which ended with us out in the Pacific Northwest, right before the Virus hit. Thankfully neither of us ever caught it, and our West Coast Adventures were interesting. Right before the big V hit, we met up with  fellow podcaster Christopher A. Morton!

That was a blast! He was pretty much the only friend we met up with, because then came the lockdown. Personally I’ve always liked staying at home, so it was no big deal for me. Although at the time Karen and I wanted to travel up and down the west coast, since we were finally out there. But it is what it is. As 2020 and 2021 were being experienced, I found that my brain was okish. Most days I didn’t have any headaches, and it was only when Karen started to get sick in the Fall of 2021, that I noticed I was getting a headache a week.

Overall I think I’m still okish, since I’m now in Anderson, Indiana, I do need to get new catscans etc, because the headaches have returned a lot more in 2022. Then again 2021 didn’t end like I thought it would. Karen and I always thought that we’d be together for the rest of our lives. Sadly in November of 2021, she died three weeks before her 45th birthday. This was not what was supposed to happen. So without her here, I’ve had to find a whole new way of life. Including finding income based housing, the housing epidemic in this country is crazy!!!! I’ve been searching for the last seven months for income based housing in any cold state with an open waiting list. Luckily I applied to a place in Anderson, IN and they gave me a call, because an apartment opened up. So in June of 2022, I will make the cross country journey from Washington to Indiana.

I’ve been thinking that in 2023 I’ll start up the daily blogging again, I really would love to write 365 days of entries, but as you read with 2019, I didn’t exactly hit that goal. There’s so much in my head that I wanna write about, but I’m just not sure if I’ll have the motivation to do so.

So I’m gonna plan a few more blogs for 2022, in order to get into the writing mode I had in 2019, and we’ll see what happens!!
