The Top 100 Animated Series Countdown Nominees

In case you missed it, construction is underway on our next BIG Top 100 countdown. This time we are going back to our roots and re-visiting the Top 100 Animated Series of All-Time!! It’s been fifteen years since we tackled this whole Top 100 concept, and we’ve had a lot of time to think of ways we can make it even better this time. The first attempt was what kicked this whole thing off and while it was a valiant effort, we decided to come back older, wiser, and more refined to craft the best Top 100 Animated Series countdown in all of geekdom.

We are doing things a bit differently this go around though. This time, instead of allowing our panel to select from ANY cartoons ever (which they did, we had over 360 cartoons receive votes the first go around), this time, we are narrowing the playing field. We have crafted a TOP 50 from five different eras: The Pre-1980s, The 1980s, The 1990s, The 2000s, and 2010-Present. We even recorded special podcast episodes to reveal each set of Top 50. You can go listen to those right now actually:

1. Top 100 Animated Series Nominees – Pre-1980s

4. Top 100 Animated Series Nominees – 2000s
5. Top 100 Animated Series Nominees – 2010+

This means that instead of choosing from thousands of cartoons, our panel will only be able to select from our carefully curated list of 250 shows. That’s not all, folks! Since it’s been 15 years since our first take on this list, we are giving YOU, the listeners/fans/visitors, a chance to select FIFTEEN ADDITIONAL series that are included on the ballot, bringing our grand total to 265 shows that will be eligible to receive votes. To help us out, you’ll need two pieces of information.

FIRST: Which shows comprised the 250 nominees as revealed in the podcasts listed above?

SECOND: How do you weigh in on which shows you think should be added?

We will answer the first question below as we list out the official nominees as revealed on those episodes. Then, below in the comments section on this page, MAKE YOUR CASE for which shows YOU think should be added to the Ballot. We will give you some prompts and ideas to help get the ball rolling on some possible shows, as well toward the bottom of this page.
