New Years Notes

Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! When I started this in January of 2019, the idea was for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. Sadly I only wrote for 32 days out of 365 days in 2025. You can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike! 2025 was a rough year for me. The realization that it been a decade since my Mom had died hit me pretty hard. The ulnar and carpal tunnel surgeries I had done on my left arm and hand really put a crimp in anything I could do in life. For those that don’t know I was born with brain damage, I do not have a corpus column, which is the thing that divides the left and right hemispheres of the brain, and I also have Cerebral Palsy on my right side. It is a mild case, but it is severe enough for me that my left arm and hand are all that I have to use in life.

So when I had to have surgeries on said LEFT hand and arm, needless to say it threw a wrench into life for awhile. And I’m still going through the recovery as I type this blog at this moment. I started that journey in August of 2025, and it’s now January 2026, the main thing that I have issue with is not my hand, it’s my arm. The ulnar nerve surgery was a success, but the recovery is a slow and arduous process!

The funny thing is I normally talk about the year end posts I write up about being BEYOND BURNT OUT, at the end of 2025… I was itching to do as much work as I possibly could, but I ran outta time! I wanted to get STUDIO 2009 to EPISODE 200!!! We only got to Episode 165! So every episode we release here in 2026 from 166-200… A majority of them, I’m gonna haveta put a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode. WHICH is FINE, but I just WISH I COULD HAVE DONE MORE IN 2025!!!

I’ve always been a VERY AMBITIOUS guy when it comes to my PODCASTS and the ART OF MY PODCASTING style! I plan things that will go on for YEARS! I hopefully craft things that will keep me, my friends, and you the listeners engaged at every new episode!

The leftovers that 2025 didn’t get to have for Studio 2009 include:

EP 166: Star Wars Movie Titles Re Ordered 66!

EP 167: MEDIA MAYHEM – The Movie Choices Of David Draper!

EP 168: MEDIA MAYHEM – The Movie Choices Of TFG1Mike!

EP 169: Coyote Ugly!

EP 170: At First Sight! 

EPS 171-178: The Columbo Files – Columbo Season 3! (Almost a Full Year Since Dave and I recorded That!)

And a bunch of other stuff!!! So what I just listed there is Episodes 166 through 178. I still have to record various ones to get to 200!! However 166 through 178 will be released NOW… here in the NEW YEAR of 2026!

I’ve always said I AM A PODCAST MACHINE!!! And on December 31st, 2025 I proved that to be absolutely true. I edited, and released three episodes of Studio 2009 on that day!

Episodes 163, 164, and 165! All on 12-31-25! At various times throughout the day! Yeah, Yeah… I know I’m crazy!!!!

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE…

RE Introducing Photo Of The Day! The idea here is for me to insert one photo or one series of photos and either tell a story or talk about said photos! First up is ME in 2025:

SOMEHOW I GOT MY WEBCAM TO TAKE THIS PHOTO! Well it was the use of the timer, and me being very still! So Photo Of The Day Will Be Back! On the days that I’m not doing album reviews! So there ya go folks! The 2026 New Years Notes!! I’m gonna try my DAMNEDEST to write EVERY DAY this year!!!!
