TRANSFORMERS – From Bee To Bug!
Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! When I started this in January of 2019, the idea was for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. Even though I’m writing in reverse with backdating these posts…. I’m enjoying having this Photo Of The Day idea! Granted it’s not a new idea at all, but it’s the first time that I’ve taken on the challenge. You can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike!
Now I know Dan Gilvezan who voiced Bumblebee in Transformers Generation 1 from 1984 hated the change… and I understand and respect why he did. However in 1987 when I was seven years old, seeing Bumblebee turn into Goldbug was awesome to me as a kid!
Goldbug gave us the same old bumblebee, but with just a shiny new paintjob! And it meant that the character continued on the adventures…. versus being killed off. Between the Crayola 64 pack with Gold and Silver crayons in it, Golden Books, and Goldbug here… I’ve always had an affinity for Gold as a color. Plus back in March of 2012… WE got to INTERVIEW DAN GILVEZAN!!!!
