New Years Notes

Hello all and welcome back to TFG1Mike 365! When I started this in January of 2019, the idea was for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. Sadly there were moments in 2019 and last year in 2024 that it was very difficult to keep up the daily writing. However I’m very proud of the writing I did in those years. You can find all the blogs over at FROM THE DESK OF TFG1Mike! I’ve written a few things here and there through 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 but generally I’ve been fully focused on the audio podcasting. As always I need my computer, my keyboard, my headphones, and music blaring in said headphones… In order for me to zone out, tune into what I wanna write! And yes dear reader, you are not mistaken, the title of this blog, is the same as it was on New Years Day in 2019 and 2023! I figured it could be a whole yearly series, so I’m calling it New Years Notes every year from now on. You can read 2019’s New Years Notes HERE! As well as 2024’s can be read HERE! A LOT has changed since those write ups!

Still a highlight from 2023 is:

BLACK STONE CHERRY A Story Through Their Songs! – This was a fun wordplay exercise for me. Trying to fit BSC song titles into actual sentences was a bit difficult, but I think I pulled it off.

A highlight from 2024 is: The Brain Pain Journey, currently I’m at a stale mate!

I was BEYOND BURNT OUT! And I’m STILL BEYOND BURNT OUT! So not sure how many I’m gonna do in 2025, but I’m gonna try my best!

So it’s NEW YEARS DAY 2025, and it’s time for me to hit that RESET button! As I attempted to do in 2023. I’m going to attempt to write one blog post per day for the next 365 days. From January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. I am not sure I’m ready for everything 2024 might offer, but my hope is renewed with a new year. I’m looking forward to all the writing, I’m hoping to accomplish, and all the podcasts I plan to do between now and December 2025! The Pull Bag is at 569 episodes, my plan (hopefully) is to get it to 700 episodes by the end of the year. As for the rest of the podcasting things, well you’ll just haveta tune in and find out what The GCRN will be doing in it’s 16th year online! June 1, 2025 marks 16 Years of The GeekCast Radio Network!

Introducing Photo Of The Day! The idea here is for me to insert one photo or one series of photos and either tell a story or talk about said photos! First up is ME in 2008:

This apartment was the BEST, and I can’t believe they let me paint it DECEPTICON PURPLE!!!! Literally I took this screenshot of Galvatron, printed it out, and took it to Lowes at the time! They color matched it perfectly!

I will be showcasing the apartment in a separate Photo Of The Day post in the future!
