TFG1MIKE 365 – 2023 Day 346 – 15 Years Of TFG1Mike!!

Hello all and welcome to a NEW Daily Blog series from me… TFG1Mike! The idea here is for me to write something, anything, once a day for 365 days. From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. In my 346th entry, I’ll be talking about the the last 15 years of my life!

It’s hard to believe that December 12th, 2008 was FIFTEEN YEARS AGO! Now two years ago on my 13th Anniversary of Podcasting, I wrote up this detailed blog entry with links and all that. So I’m not going to repeat that here, but you can go READ THAT if you want my full history! What I wanna do here in the 15 years entry is tell you the readers what I’m hoping to do in the future of podcasting. There have been a lot of changes since we started The GeekCast Radio Network in 2009. I’m not good with change. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it I say. I’ve had the SAME CAD U37 Condenser Microphone since 2010. I even tried to upgrade to a newer version of it, and it didn’t go so well. So I’m looking forward to trying a new microphone in 2024. Something that is a condenser mic, but not the CAD one. I’ll always have this microphone though, as it is literally “old reliable” at this point. But in 2024 I wanna upgrade! Plus sadly I can hear something in the microphone when editing my audio…. I dunno what it is, so need to see what new fangled mics can do.

In 2024… I will be focusing on producing content as always, but I wanna do it in a different way. For years now on The Pull Bag, I’ve wanted to do a NINTEY NIGHTS OF NIGHTWING series! Where we cover every Nightwing collected edition that we can all within 90 days! So three months of Dick Grayson! Looking through his comic history it won’t just be Nightwing in various solo series, it’ll be EVERYTHING, from the multiple times he’s been with the Teen Titans, to his Grayson run with Spyral, and more! 90 DAYS!!!! Ninety Nights of Nightwing! Daily Content from The GCRN! We’ve only dabbled in the daily content stuff, but DAMN! I’m gonna do this!

I also wanna expand the GCRN Origins more as well. Right now we have Origins for Cartoons, Comics, Masters Of The Universe, Transformers, and Podcasting! On December 12, 2023 I launched the GAMER ORIGINS!!!! That’s right 30 questions all about people’s history with video games! For years here on The GCRN I’ve wanted to do a video game podcast, and we kinda did that with Pixels In The Animation, but that was video game cartoons! And we did have OFF THE CUFF with Mike, Art, Joe, and Seansie. However that show has been offline for years now. Both great podcasts, but they are in The GCRN past now. This NEW Addition to the GCRN Origins is just my way of being able to talk about video games in my own way, and it’s not overly complicated, like I was originally gonna have my own Gamer Podcast to be back in 2012. As I wrote about it’s 30 questions about how you got into or out of playing video games!

Steve and I will also be launching Altered Trek in 2024 as well as a bunch of other stuff we have cooking here ONLY ON THE GEEKCAST RADIO NETWORK!!!!
